Colleges and universities nationwide understand the vital role student employees play on campus!
Each year, the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) designates the second full week in April as National Student Employment Week. This special week aims to raise public awareness and honor students who balance work with their academic commitments. It's also a time to acknowledge supervisors who guide these students, offering essential training and professional development that helps prepare them for future careers.
Student employees bring enthusiasm, dedication, and initiative to their roles, providing invaluable services. Setting aside this week highlights their contributions and offers a great opportunity to show appreciation, both on campus and beyond.
2025 Timeline
- January 27, 2025 (Monday): Accepting nominations through online form (to NSEA)
- February 21, 2025 (Friday): Nominations due to NSEA
- February 24, 2025 (Monday): The SEOTY Committee disseminates nominations to sub-group
- March 6, 2025 (Thursday): Scoring rubric due back to SEOTY Committee
- March 7, 2025 (Friday): The SEOTY Committee meets for any tie breakers & determines the winner.
- March 14, 2025 (Friday): Notify winning institutions no later than
- April 18, 2025 (Friday): Announce Winners (on social media)
