Diversity Scholarship

NSEA is dedicated to promoting diversity. The Diversity Scholarship provides a professional development opportunity to an administrator from an underrepresented college & university of designated minority groups to attend the NSEA annual conference and SEE Training sessions. NSEA will fund two (2) Diversity Scholarship for an administrator to attend our conference and professional development training provided at the annual conference Indianapolis, IN November 6-8, 2024. Deadline to apply is July 12, 2024. 


Applications will be accepted from institutions designated by the United States Department of Labor, Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), as Minority Colleges and Universities. These institutions include Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU). The scholarship recipient will receive the $595 conference registration fee, $375 SEE Training registration fee, $150 annual membership dues credit, and up to $900 for hotel and travel expenses. 


Note: Preference will be given to institutions who are not current NSEA members, members who have not been able to attend a conference in the past, and institutions with no funding available for professional development. Recipients of this scholarship will be notified. The recipients must complete their NSEA Conference Registration Form by the early bird deadline. Recipients are responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements. Refer to the NSEA website for additional conference, hotel and descriptions of the various professional development sessions.

Joan Adams Campillo Memorial Scholarship

This award was named in memoriam of Joan Adams Campillo, a longtime member of NSEA who showed outstanding commitment to the organization through service and dedication. She believed in the organization's commitment to the development of student employment professionals. NSEA funds two (2) Joan Adams Campillo Memorial Scholarships to selected Student Employment Professionals.


The scholarship recipient will receive the $595 conference registration fee, $150 annual membership dues credit, and up to $900 for hotel and travel expenses.

SEE Training Scholarship

NSEA encourages the professional development of its members by offering Student Employment Essentials (SEE) training. These sessions are designed to teach the skills necessary to run a successful student employment office and provide a framework to sharpen existing skills and acquire new ones. The SEE Training Scholarship will cover the registration fees for four (4) recipients to participate in this year's pre-conference SEE Training.
